Why am I here?

October 4, 2013 § Leave a comment

A good writer is always a sound reader first and I read a lot of stuff (on the path of being a glorious writer). My profession obliges me to use internet all the time and once I start reading I get stuck, flipping through pages. In between the huge trash I read, I often stumble upon good and interesting reads.

What do these interesting reads and I have in common? Chronicles of amusing stories about our life in Paris. There are a lot of people from the field of creative arts who write wonderful things about Paris and are my source of how to discover amazing things in the city of lights. So, what new will I bring to the table? I guess not much but my aim is to write and perhaps my engineering perspective could be fresh.

As for why I am starting to document my tales after having lived in Paris for long, the reason is one person. This person who, even being on a different continent, was always there to listen to my hopeless stories and survival tales in this dreamy city. My friend, Péa, after giggling to some of my supposedly funny story, asked me to start blogging almost a year ago. And now, unemployment has allowed me to pursue my creative interests.

With two very famous events during the coming weeks (La Nuit Blanche and La Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre), I am hoping to accumulate enough stuff to write about. Otherwise, I do have some backup tales of my survival in Paris.

Here’s one of the very first photos I took when I visited my first Parisian gem since arrival and yes, it was a beautiful sunny September day!
